Prisoner Advocacy
An active, volunteer correspondents committee corresponds with all prisoners on death row, finds
pen pals for the men and advocates for them with Department of Corrections personnel. In addition, many correspondents assist with legal procedures, visit frequently and befriend the men providing support and caring. Join this group or find out more by contacting us at
info@oadp.org
Education and Outreach
This committee organizes educational talks within the community and coordinates a speakers bureau. If your organization would like to have a speaker come to one of your meetings. Please contact us at
info@oadp.org.
The committee also produces a quarterly paper or electronic newsletter. If you would like to receive this please advise us of your contact information
on our Newsletter signup page. Please consider a small donation to cover the cost of printing and mailing if you need a paper
copy. [see PayPal instruction above]
Direct Action
Consider being a walking billboard for the abolition cause. A small, unobtrusive button with a slogan such as "Execute Justice not People" or "Execution is not the Solution" can prompt all kinds of conversations with people you run into during your daily life. Bumper stickers can also be obtained. If you are of a more extrovert state of mind, tee-shirts, sweatshirts and caps are also available. These items and other abolitionist materials can be bought from
AbolitionWear .
OADP coordinates vigils and events. Please see the events calendar for details.
